What's a Demo Class?

AmazingTalker will evaluate every teacher's teaching quality through an interview (demo class). You will need to prepare your own teaching materials and conduct a 25 minute demo class.

The demo class will be interviewed by a mentor/VIP student. You have 3 chances to conduct a demo class, and you will need to get a review of more than 4 stars from the interviewer.

Take it easy! Just consider the interviewer as a normal student😇

How to Pass a Demo Class?

1️⃣ Accept Interview Request

Based on your timezone, the interviewer will send an interview request to you in 10 minutes. Please check your teacher dashboard and click "accept” on the icon.

2️⃣ Prepare for the Interview

(1) Get to know your interview topic

When you accept the interview request, you can see the interview topic on the appointment icon (refresh the page if you don't see it). To get more details about the demo class, such as language level and other needs, message the interviewer.

To contact the interviewer, you can click ”message student" on the appointment icon, or click on the message notification on the upper righthand corner.

(2) Work on your interview

A demo class will last 25 minutes, containing 3 parts:

🔸 Self-introduction for 5 minutes
Please describe your teaching experience, teaching style and method. For example: 2 years of English teaching experience, good at interactive courses…

🔸 Teaching for 15 minutes
Please prepare teaching materials based on the interview topic and needs. For example: explain grammar concepts and practise with test questions.

You can check out some of the free and paid teaching materials in this article, it can be useful!

🔸 Wrap it up for 5 minutes
For the remainder of the time, you can interact with the interviewer by doing a Q&A session for example.

3️⃣ Download and Practice “Zoom”

AmazingTalker uses Zoom Client for Meetings for video chatting and screen sharing. Please download it and sign up if you haven’t already.
